- Garry Garber would have worn this t-shirt while working with the Government of the District of Columbia at outreach events. A special event can be many different things, like a festival, a parade or a sporting event, but they all take place on the DC streets and involve different public offices or agencies. Mr. Garber was a former professional boxer and mentored generations of young Washingtonians as a Roving Leader with the D.C. Department of Recreation and as an early advocate for the Latin American Youth Center.
